Susty Wear Certifications
Susty Wear only partners with factories and suppliers who display socially acceptable practices in the workplace which we live by ourselves as well. We chose to work with those who are Fair Wear Certified™ /SA8000 because they ensure care for both people and the planet. Fair Trade factories provide safe working conditions, empower and uplift local communities, and protect the environment.
To make sure our products are sustainable, ethical, and of high quality our supply chain is certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications shows that we take sustainable and ethical products and processes very seriously and that we work towards a healthier and kinder planet. These help us to check on every step of the process.
GOTS: Global Organic Textile Standard
This certification shows ecological and social responsibility. It has set requirements for ecological and labour conditions in textile and clothing manufacturing processes. Some requirements are not using toxic, persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilisers as well as having welfare standards.
Fair Wear/SA8000
A certification that shows fair working conditions in garment factories, making fashion fair for everyone.
Global Recycled Standard

This is a voluntary standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in final products. This voluntary standard applies to the full supply chain and looks at traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labelling. Making sure all steps in the process are good for the planet.
PETA Vegan
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The garment factory we work with is a PETA-approved vegan company. None of our products contain ingredients derived from animals and testing on animals is not taking place in our production process.
OEKO-TEX
This certification makes sure that no harmful substances are used in our products. It follows REACH, the EU regulations which restricts the toxicity of chemicals and heavy metals in all consumer products.
OCS
The Organic Content Standard. This certification verifies the presence and amount of organic materials in a final product. It doesn’t only apply to the final products, it also looks at the journey from raw materials and their source to the final products. This certification only applies to materials and doesn’t apply to social criteria such as working conditions.
